01

Lead with the present

Write about what you are looking for now instead of inventing a future storyline. A clear statement about casual dating, conversation or openness helps the reader decide whether to respond.

Avoid exaggerating your availability, interests or situation simply to attract attention. Accuracy is a better filter than volume.

02

Keep identifying details private

Do not include an address, work schedule, workplace badge, license plate or full legal name. A profile can still feel personal without becoming a map to your offline life.

Use photos you are permitted to share, and check backgrounds before publishing. Never use another person’s image as a placeholder.

03

Make boundaries visible

A short line about pace, respect or privacy helps define the conversation. Boundaries are not a challenge or a list of things to negotiate away.

Update the profile when your intentions change. Leaving an old description online creates avoidable confusion.
