01

Never send money to a match

A new match should not need emergency payments, gift cards, cryptocurrency, account access or a loan. Emotional stories do not make a financial request safe.

Keep payment details and identification documents private. A dating service will provide its own account and billing process.

02

Be wary of urgency

Requests to move immediately to another app, share explicit material or meet somewhere private can be designed to remove your options. You can keep the conversation on the platform and take your time.

A real connection can survive a reasonable request for clarity, a video call or a public first meeting.

03

Save evidence and report

If someone threatens, impersonates or repeatedly pressures you, stop responding and use the platform’s reporting function. Save relevant messages rather than negotiating with the account.

If you believe you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
