Talk before creating a profile
Discuss what is appealing, what is off-limits and what would make either partner want to stop. Do not treat initial curiosity as permanent agreement.
Decide who writes messages, whether both partners read them and how you will avoid presenting one partner’s preference as a joint decision.
Treat the other person as a participant
A third person is not an accessory to a couple’s plan. Their interests, boundaries and ability to change their mind carry equal weight.
Use accurate joint photos only when everyone pictured has agreed to that specific use. Be transparent about who is available to chat and meet.
Build in a pause
Agree on a neutral word or process that stops planning without argument. Check in privately before and after any meeting.
If the experience creates tension, pause the platform rather than recruiting another person to resolve a relationship disagreement.
